Founded in 1991, Cohen Laser and Vision Center (CLVC) has been providing Florida residents with state-of-the-art eye care services for over 30 years. Of LASIK vision correction surgeryto the treatment of glaucoma, cataracts and other eye problems, CLVC patients have come to depend on family practice for caring, safe and effective eye care procedures.
CLVC welcomed Dr. Chad M. Kaplan, one of Florida’s leading cataract and glaucoma surgery specialists, to join its team. Dr. Kaplan received his medical degree and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Florida, where he served as Chief Resident as well as Chair of the Graduate Resident Medical Education Committee. Dr. Kaplan then moved to New York for a fellowship in surgical glaucoma at Columbia University. While in New York, he was an instructor in ophthalmology at Columbia University and an associate professor at New York University. Dr. Kaplan has been honored to be responsible for the medical and surgical training of resident physicians in ophthalmology.
Dr. Kaplan is a member of the Chandler Grant Glaucoma Society, American Glaucoma Society, New York Glaucoma Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
